While I was in graduate school, I used to search for educational technology (ET) related resources such as recommended readings, books reviews, etc. Most of these resources were paper-based and we did not have access to them online. Now, we are blessed with the emergence of the Web, as one of the most important economic, democratic, powerful, global, interactive and dynamic medium for sharing information. The Web has provided me the opportunity to compile a recommended reading list in ET
which can be accessible free of charge by anyone in the world.
The purpose of this site is to maintain
comprehensive and up-to-date reading lists in areas
where both educational soft technologies
(i.e., theories, models, tecniques, strategies, etc.)
and educational hard technologies
(i.e., media-related such as radio, TV, computer,
etc.) are integrated in the design of instructional
and learning environments.
The
books included in the list are selected from a large
number of published references, recommended reading
lists (online and offline) and readers'
recommendations.
Educational
technology is a dynamic emerging field. Therefore,
this list is by no means complete and we welcome your
input.
I wish to thank many individuals for their encouragement and support. I would like to thank David Moore for suggesting the inclusion of the "top ten list" on this site.
Regards,
Badrul Khan
